Söder book trip to… Finland

Södermalm is happy to present the itinerary for the mid season footy tour! The goal is Salo in Finland, the home ground of Söder gun recruit Kaj “the Cannon” Karlsson. Bring on that famous Sisu! We will be leaving late the 30th of June and return with an over night cruise the following day. Already there are 17 confirmed travelers, a massive turnout. The club will book 20 beds and the prize is 600kr inkluding the best all you can eat and drink buffet on the baltic sea, special prize for Söder players and social members. A great trip and frequent interchanges during the game is promised. Make sure to contact the club if interested in any of the last few seats.

Also, don’t miss out the rematch of last year’s final. Södermalm Blues vs Solna Axemen this Friday at Årsta, and the traditional BBQ.

Söder trips on last leg before season break

While the rain was pouring straight down, but Södermalm’s kicking was anything but that.  The final score 56-51 to Solna, and Söder kicked 5 goals 21 behinds!  Not so much to cheer about, but despite the weather there was an enthusiastic crowd trying to push the team to only one more goal, and to see Årsta defeated Bromma with 47-37 in the second game of the night.

Half season final

Free your calenders for this Friday, the 17th of June! In the double header of round 7 of the SAFF championships, the very last before the summer break, Södermalm start off the night by playing Solna, follwed by Årsta vs. Bromma. Two big games in one night, what more could you ask for? BBQ and cold drinks – well we have that too!

The game starts 18.00 @ Årstafältet. Come and support your team!

Söder win in first round

What is this? Söder didn’t play in the first round, did they?

Well, you know what they say – Never check a good story!

Södermalm was running the BBQ and set them mark for the coming season. Thanks to Andree, Ivan, Petter, Murph, Dave, Johan and MAX for goal umpireing and BBQ, and to Jordo for composing  the first ever issue of the “SAFF Footy record

On the field, Årsta and Bromma emerged victorious against Falun and Solna.
