Jordo HarPOONed in Söder final
Last night (11-11-2010) saw The Club take the field agall leaving rack'ems alone and despondent, with the green 14 ball, and most shatteringly, out of the tournament. Many on lookers were saying Rack’ems had his mind elsewhere on the night, more likely to the baby he and his wife are expecting in 3 weeks time.

The semi finals, officiated by Club Social Stalwart, Dave carde, saw 2 rematches from the group stage.
Firstly Big Blue V's Timbi. Earlier when they played, Big Blue won by 6 balls. This time Blue let his guard down and accidently sinking the Black early in the game, costing himself a direct exit from the semi final, So distraught he was straight off to the bar for some comfort and so it was, timbi was thru to the final.

2nd semi saw Lars playing Jordo. Jordo winning comfortably although Lars was Claiming a 4 ball Handicap similar to what we saw in Göteborg earlier in the year at the SM, However SAFF official Dave Carde was on hand to dismiss this Outrageous Claim. Later in the Night Lars Was quoted." I thought i had him

Söder book ticket to footy trip!
Saturday 11th of september at Bromma Sportfältet played host to the preliminary final of the Stockholm Australian Football League.

Södermalm Blues vs Bromma Vikings was the match up in this do or die final, where the winner earned a spot to meet Solna in the Grand Final. In the three previous encounters during the season between these two teams it had been the mighty soldiers of Söder who had been convincing winners on all occassions, and so, the boys were quietly confident of earning the spot to meet Solna in the GF.

Before the bounce it was already known we were going to be left a little short in the ruck department, but coach Jordo as always, used his tactical nous to cover that factor by fielding a strong midfield with iron guts and tanker backed up by the hard running twins and also having big wolfman prepared to peak physical condition. The first quater started slowly for the blues and in the first 5-10mins they saw little of the ball, as Bromma came out firing looking to make amends for the previous encounters this year by kicking the first 3 goals of the game. The second half of the first qtr the blues started to get more ball but couldnt make the most of their possession especially inside their attacking 40m. The Blues down by 2 goals at the first break.

The 2nd qtr the blues, after a bit of a spray by coach Jordo, started strongly with big Wolfman continuously winning the ruck feeding the ball to the midfield to set up plenty of opportunities for the blues only to see some wobbly kicking let them down. Bromma kicked 3 goals against the run of play to give them a healthy lead against the Blues 7 behinds for the qtr, before Brissles kicked a goal after the siren to give the blues a little momentum heading into the second. Half time Bromma by 3 and a half kicks.

The 3rd qtr, and the blues knew their season was on the line. Coach Jordo was satisfied with the 2nd qtr just felt we let ourselves down with poor kicking in front of goal, was quoted "Good quater my little pretties! I've got the wolfman pumped up to the max and he's killing them in the ruck

The Dynamites returned with new strength in the second quarter to find themselves in an eight point lead by half time. Much thanks to solid defending by full back Brendan, powerful rucking by Årsta's Dan and solid performance all over the field. Söder player "Lethal"" Lars Hagberg made a solid performance in the Elks back line making life tough for the Dynamites forward line.

At third quarter time the Elks were back on top by five point
